Role Overview

As the Video Content Producer, you will lead the creative and production process of short-form video content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion across TikTok, Instagram, XHS and emerging social platforms. You will play a pivotal role in developing content strategies, creative direction, and production workflows, working closely with marketing, social, and CRM teams to tell stories that resonate with audiences from Gen Alpha to Millennials – the full spectrum of modern beauty consumers.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full video production lifecycle – from ideation, scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, to post-production.
  • Conceptualize and execute TikTok-first content strategies that align with current trends, platform algorithms, and brand tone.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Social Media, CRM, and Digital Marketing teams to produce high-impact content that supports campaign goals.
  • Direct on-set production (talents, lighting, shot composition, etc.) ensuring storytelling consistency and aesthetic excellence.
  • Write scripts and creative briefs that translate brand messaging into compelling short-form narratives.
  • Edit video using modern editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVincci Resolve) for platform-optimized delivery.
  • Analyze content performance metrics to iterate and enhance future creative directions,
  • Manage content calendars, shoot schedules, and ensure timely deliverables across campaigns
  • Maintain a deep understanding of multi-generational digital behavior, from Gen Alpha’s visual-first engagement patterns to Millennials’ brand-loyal consumption habits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in video production, digital content creation, or related creative fields.
  • Proven track record with a portfolio of viral or high-engagement TikTok or social video content.
  • Strong storytelling ability with experience in scriptwriting and video editing. 
  • Background or understanding of Digital Marketing (Social, CRM, Performance, or E-commerce) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, creative direction, and leadership sills – able to manage shoots and guide both internal teams and external talents.
  • Proficient in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Knowledge of lighting, audio, and camera equipment is an advantage.
  • A team player with a proactive, agile, and innovative mindset.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working with influencers, creators, or brand ambassadors.
  • Basic understanding of AI-assisted video editing or automation tools (Descript, Runway, etc).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce content (Shopify, Shopee, TikTok Shop, etc.)
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus)
