We are seeking Technical and Experience Talents to operate as a highly autonomous technical leader, responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and user-centric digital solutions at national scale. In this role, you will go beyond implementation, shaping engineering standards, elevating delivery practices, and mentoring the next generation of engineers. You will work within cross-functional product squads, contributing to mission-critical systems that serve citizens and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Engineering Excellence - Architect, build, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-first applications, ensuring high standards of reliability, scalability, and performance across the full software lifecycle.

Engineering & DevOps Leadership - Champion modern software engineering practices, driving DevOps maturity, automation, and continuous improvement across teams.

Code Quality & Technical Discipline - Deliver clean, secure, and well-tested code, leveraging contemporary patterns, frameworks, and tooling while uplifting overall engineering standards.

Operational Ownership - Lead production support efforts, including incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause resolution, with participation in on-call rotations as required.

Talent Development & Mentorship - Mentor and coach Graduate, Associate, and Software Engineers, fostering capability growth, strengthening onboarding, and building a high-performing engineering culture.

Agile & Community Contribution - Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies, communities of practice, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance delivery excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Product, UX, Data, and Business stakeholders to design and deliver solutions aligned with user needs and organisational priorities.


Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining software using two or more modern programming languages, with strong grounding in design patterns and data modeling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering cloud-native applications (AWS), including API integration and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Strong proficiency in test-driven development (TDD), behaviour-driven development (BDD), and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with observability practices, including logging, monitoring, and alerting in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience in production support and incident management, including on-call responsibilities.
  • Established track record of mentoring engineers and contributing to professional or technical communities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and drive data-informed decisions.
