Job Description

The intern will support the Claims team in the administration and processing of insurance claims. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to claims operations, claim registration processes, policy coverage assessment and regulatory compliance requirements. This role offers valuable practical experience in the insurance industry while assisting the team in ensuring efficient and timely claims handling. The intern will be required to assist in the following: 

 Assist in registering all incoming new claims accurately and promptly in accordance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Claims Settlement Practices (Revised) guidelines and internal service standards. 

 Sort, organize and distribute incoming claims documents to the respective claims processing teams for further assessment and action. 

 Perform preliminary checks on policy coverage and liability to support claims processing activities. 

 Assist in the claim assessment and processing of claims by reviewing supporting documents, verifying information and ensuring required documentation is complete prior to further evaluation. 

 Assist in data entry and updates of Tax Identification Numbers (TINs) for e-invoicing and claim information into the claims management system. 

 Attend to ad hoc administrative duties and projects assigned by supervisors. 

 Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and operational procedures.
