GUNG Jewellery is looking for a Jewellery Design & Production Intern with an interest in modern jewellery, technical design and hands-on making. This role offers practical experience across design development, production support and retail within an independent jewellery brand.

Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Develop sketches, technical drawings and basic 3D/CAD models from creative briefs and visual references.
• Communicate design details through accurate dimensions, proportions, materials and construction specifications.
• Refine designs based on feedback, considering wearability and production feasibility.
• Assist with sample reviews and communication with production partners.

Making & Production

• Support beading, stringing, jewellery assembly and modifications.
• Create physical mockups to support product development.
• Assist with jewellery preparation and quality control, checking appearance, assembly and functionality.
• Keep materials, components, tools and samples organised.

Retail & Operations

• Assist customers with product enquiries, styling and purchases.
• Support product displays, stock preparation, order packing and showroom upkeep.
• Assist with retail activities and events when required.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Jewellery Design, Product Design, Industrial Design or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in Rhino or another relevant 3D/CAD tool.
• Ability to produce clear technical drawings with accurate measurements.
• Basic understanding of jewellery construction, materials, stones and prototype making.
• Hands-on experience with beading, stringing or jewellery assembly; academic and personal projects are welcome.
• Enjoy working with your hands, with patience for detailed tasks and design revisions.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in careful workmanship.
• Clear communication and willingness to take direction while contributing ideas.
• Organised and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
• Comfortable interacting with customers and supporting retail duties.
• Available to work on-site in Bangsar, including scheduled retail shifts.
