This role while based in Malaysia, will be working for our Dubai business unit

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & Finance Operations

• Handle full or partial sets of accounts, including AP, AR, and GL
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting schedules

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
• Prepare customer billings and monitor collections
• Reconcile AR/AP balances and follow up on discrepancies

Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports
• Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Assist in external audits, internal audits, and tax filings
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial firms

Administrative & Other Support

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records
• Support ad-hoc finance projects and process improvements
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations (if applicable)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA)
• Minimum 2-3 years of working experience
• Experience in a corporate, audit, or professional services environment is an advantage
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Team player with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships and multitask in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and able to meet deadline for reporting
• Open-minded, eager to learn and able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment
• In-depth computer skills within accounting software (e.g. Netsuite, SAP) and Microsoft office
