You will represent our products on-site, translating technical details into clear actions that help customers run equipment reliably and safely.

As a SITE SERVICE ENGINEER you will act as a builder: you will design and scale practical service routines, deliver focused machine trainings, and create clear technical proposals that make installation, maintenance and upgrades smoother. Your daily work will combine troubleshooting complex faults, advising sales on fit-for-purpose solutions, and feeding real customer insights back to our R&D team so our machines get better with each deployment.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Field Service & Troubleshooting

• Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on laser systems and related mechanical and PCB handling equipment to maximise uptime.
• Identify root causes for electrical, mechanical and semiconductor faults and implement practical fixes on site.
• Record service activities, parts used and test results, and raise repeat issues to R&D with clear technical notes.
• Manage basic spare parts needs during visits and advise customers on replacements to avoid extended downtime.

Customer Training & Sales Support

• Deliver hands-on machine training and user handovers so customers operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare concise technical proposals, installation plans and quotations to support sales activities.
• Serve as the technical lead during installations and upgrades to ensure successful handoffs to customers.
• Collect on-site customer feedback and share actionable observations with sales and R&D for product improvements.

Cross-functional Coordination & Travel

• Coordinate schedules and service priorities with sales, R&D and headquarters to meet customer SLAs.
• Plan travel and logistics across assigned regions to deliver services efficiently and on time.
• Represent our team professionally on-site and build reliable customer relationships through clear communication.
• Follow customer safety and factory protocols while working in diverse manufacturing environments.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of working experience in a related field is preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Relevant experience in the semiconductor, mechanical or PCB industries is required.
• Position available in Johor, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka; able to start immediately and prepared to travel frequently, including to Singapore and Indonesia.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Practical knowledge of machinery and laser systems is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with on-site diagnostics, preventive maintenance and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports, proposals and service documentation.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel to customer sites as required.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Proficient in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese speaking candidates are preferable.
• Ambitious, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Collaborative team player who can coordinate with colleagues to meet targets and support customers.
• Open to learning, adaptable to different customer environments and committed to professional conduct on site.
