OVERVIEW:
Lead and supervise a C&I team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in line with SOPs, company regulations, and quality standards. Align team performance to organizational goals through coaching, delegation, and structured guidance. Sustain and enhance control system and instrumentation performance (e.g., GSR, ASM, CDS, APM, glove puller, vision systems, etc.). Champion SHIELD values, ESG, 5S, and Ops Excellence culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Compliance & Enforcement
- Enforce adherence to company rules, ISO9001/GMP, safety/COVID SOPs, 5S, Lotto, and all C&I work instructions.
- Take disciplinary action where necessary.
B. Planning & Execution
- Plan duty roster, delegate tasks, and manage workflows.
- Coordinate breakdown rectification and scheduled maintenance (21D, 45D, AM, line stoppage).
- Oversee modification, installation, testing, and qualification of C&I systems.
- Ensure inspection/calibration of C&I systems as scheduled.
C. Operational Supervision
- Ensure immediate breakdown response and accurate rectification.
- Maintain HSE standards in all maintenance tasks.
- Deliver timely execution aligned to deadlines.
D. Verification & Control
- Validate maintenance checklists and documentation.
- Monitor spare/tools availability and consumption control.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality documentation.
- Confirm system functionality and execute annual spare part replacements.
E. Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives to reduce breakdowns and enhance preventive maintenance.
- Support quality through line scan and stain rejection improvement.
- Implement and audit 5S in workplace and workshop.
F. People Management
- Guide, motivate, and coach team; conduct performance reviews.
- Provide constructive feedback and manage training needs.
- Build teamwork, encourage knowledge growth, and technical development.
G. Reporting
- Prepare and submit reports on attendance, shift handovers, breakdowns, and critical measurements.
H. Audit & Review
- Audit SOPs, WIs, OPLs related to C&I systems.
- Review 5S, COVID measures, unsafe acts, and Lotto compliance.
I. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with departments to resolve issues, manage maintenance schedules, and address safety concerns.
- Act as C&I liaison for internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers for daily ops, repairs, tools, and spares.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Cert/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 2 years hands-on with PLC (preferably SIEMENS) & instrumentation.
- Supervisory experience required; manufacturing background preferred.
- Strong in PLC troubleshooting, wiring/loop drawing & basic programming
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ISO documentation.
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Committed, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
- Willing to work shifts and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Familiar with 5S, safety practices, and scheduled waste management.
