Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and dedicated Nurse Aide / Residential Caregiver to support adults with special needs in a co-living residential environment. The successful candidate will provide daily personal care, assist with activities of daily living, ensure residents' safety and well-being, and stay overnight at the residence as required.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care & Daily Living Support

• Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and transfers when required.
• Assist with feeding and meal preparation according to dietary requirements.
• Encourage and promote independence in daily activities whenever possible.

Health & Well-Being

• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals and company policies.
• Observe and report any changes in residents’ health, behavior, or emotional condition.
• Maintain accurate care records and incident reports.

Residential Care & Supervision

• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
• Supervise residents during daily activities, outings, and recreational programs.
• Support residents in social, educational, and community-based activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping related to resident care.

Overnight Responsibilities

• Stay overnight at the residence as scheduled.
• Respond promptly to residents’ needs during the night.
• Conduct routine safety and welfare checks.
• Handle emergencies and contact appropriate medical or emergency services when necessary.

Communication & Teamwork

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare professionals.
• Participate in care planning and team meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity of all residents.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Certificate in Nursing Aide, Caregiver Training, Healthcare Assistant, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience caring for individuals with special needs, disabilities, or vulnerable adults is an advantage.
• Basic First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of assisting with resident mobility when required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight/live-in shifts.

Preferred Qualities

• Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to resident welfare.
