Role


Duties & Responsibilities
1. Ensure all Instrument System activities are conducted in accordance with HSSE practices and procedures.
2. Advise on Instrument System reliability improvements, develop maintenance strategies and audit compliance with asset management, inspection and maintenance procedures and standards.
3. Provide team leadership in Instrument System reliability and bad actor program. Identifying problems with System equipment. Provide detailed failure / root cause analysis and advising improvements/solutions.
4. Ensure implementation of preventive maintenance routines which results from specific studies (RRM, RCM, IPF, etc.)
5. Provide technical advice and coaching to plant maintenance and operations personnel.
6. Coordinate Instrument System related work (e.g. projects, turnarounds) inclusive of scoping, scheduling, and execution.
7. Provide cost effective maintenance and system management on all Instrument Systems including Process Control Domain equipment.
8. Monitor and measure performance of Instrument System equipment.
9. Provide technical advice on all Instrument System modifications to the plant installation to ensure legal, DEP, best practices and company standard compliance.
10. Ensure cost optimization through LEAN, waste elimination and cost transparency initiatives.


Job Requirements

Job Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferably in Electrical/Electronics/Computer System or equivalent
2. Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience dealing with DCS, safeguarding system, PCAD, Fire & Gas systems works.
3. Detailed knowledge on control logic and system configuration especially on Honeywell TDC 3000, Experion C300, Simens S7 PLC, Allen Bradley PLC will be added advantages.
4. Knowledge in networking protocol and cyber security.
5. Well-versed with HSSE requirements, safety procedures, hazard management, Shell DEP and Operational Manual, and other relevant local standards.
6. Good understanding in equipment requirements for hazardous zoned areas accordance to IEC60079.
7. Have project experience (project development, detail engineering and execution).
8. Understand process control network requirement in Oil & Gas industry.
9. Preferably TuV certified Engineer.
10. Process understanding, compressor control system, BMS and complex control loop knowledge will be added advantage.
