Duties & Responsibilities
To enhance site HSE performance in Management of Change by:
• [HEMP] Assume the role of site Management of Change (MOC) Focal Point (FP), responsible in ensuring effective implementation of MOC process at the site.
• [HEMP] Perform assurance activities against MOC requirements through regular assessments, reviews, audits and use observations gained to trigger continuous improvement
To provide Process Safety support to the relevant Production Units (PU) and other disciplines in HRC, through:
• Ensuring adequate review of all plant changes and technical projects in process engineering and process safety aspects. This will include determining the level and type of risk analysis required for any proposed plant change (or technical project) and facilitate the hazard screening review process for all site plant changes (or technical project).
• Providing independent advice to relevant Unit Managers on the adequacy of proposed barriers to manage identified process safety risks.
• Supporting the assurance of compliance and consistency of plant changes & technical projects with applicable site standards and guidelines.
To improve site HSE performance through execution of Hazards and Effects Management Process (HEMP). Specifically,
• Supporting the HEMP Focal Point in the execution of HEMP process at site.
• Support and execution of plant safety reviews including walkabouts, Process Safety Assessments, Reactive Hazard Assessments etc. and the follow through of the resulting actions.
The ensure effective implementation and assurance on Process Safety 9 Fundamentals (PS9F)
• Take the role of site custodian of PS9F and ensure widespread knowledge and awareness on it onsite
• Work with relevant process focal points to ensure effective implementation of PS9Fs
• Conduct periodic, regular assurance on PS9F implementation and use observations gained to trigger continuous improvement
• Track and follow up on PS9F violations and observations to ensure appropriate investigations and learnings occur
To support site execution of Learning from Incidents (LFI) process by:
• Supporting the site LFI Focal Point and LFI committee with technical input on the relevance and supporting the resolution of incident learning’s and recommendations.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
BSc or higher degree in Chemical Engineering or a related subject.
Has thorough knowledge of chemical engineering / process technology at an academic level.
Professional Experience:
• Experienced chemical engineer or process safety practitioner
• Minimum 4 years of working experience
• Possess detailed knowledge and experience in process safety and hazard management.
• Possess relevant process safety competencies.
Annual limit is RM4,000 per family
Annual wellness reimbursement up to RM800 per annum
An annual reimbursement up to RM1,000 is allowable to cover for dental and optical expenses incurred by employee and eligible family members.
Monthly subsidy up to RM150 per child (Age: 3 months to 6 years) to employees who send their child to licensed Childcare center.
