Role
Duties & Responsibilities
• Environment focal point for Projects and existing operations;
• Compiles site’s environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate site wide environmental monitoring and report generation for site’s compliance status.
• Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with agreed Environment practices and procedures as outlined in the Refinery HSSE-MS and in accordance to EIA and ISO14001;
• Monitor and report compliance status, highlighting issues requiring Leadership attention and identifying corrective measures;
• Provide advice to Refinery regarding environmental hazards, objectives and targets, management shortfalls, best practices and environmental element alternatives;
• Ensures that all environmental incidents are properly investigated and closed out;
• Monitor and report Refinery environmental performance and maintain records in accordance with HSE-MS requirements;
• Coordinates company’s participation in Environment Awards and Reports;
• Liaison with DOE on environmental performance reporting and compliance issues;
• Identifies and implements cost reduction initiatives for waste disposal.
• Provides the essential front line support/troubleshooting to achieve safe and optimum Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) performance (joint effort with disciplines);
• Focal person for Environment Manual in HSSE & SP Control Framework.
• Perform GHG accounting annually
• Focal for environment reporting for Annual Report & Sustainability Report.
Job Requirements
1. Degree holder. Engg, Env Science, Science and equivalent
2. Min 3 years experience
3. Able to locate at site in Port Dickson
4. Healthy and able to perform site visit, site works.
Annual limit is RM4,000 per family
Annual wellness reimbursement up to RM800 per annum
An annual reimbursement up to RM1,000 is allowable to cover for dental and optical expenses incurred by employee and eligible family members.
Monthly subsidy up to RM150 per child (Age: 3 months to 6 years) to employees who send their child to licensed Childcare center.
