Role
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide effective and efficient technical support to the site with respect to troubleshooting, optimization, and safe plant operation.
2. Monitor plant performance against approved targets on a day-to-day basis, identifying existing or potential technical problems and respond accordingly to threats.
3. Identify and implement specific projects to improve the safety, reliability, integrity, efficiency, operability, capacity, and margin for the Plant.
4. Perform process & Energy optimization, process Troubleshooting in the assigned units.
5. Review of Engineering deliverables i.e Design Basis, FEED, PFDs P&ID, Equipment datasheets, H&MB, Utility Summary, Operating Manual etc.
6. Provide process and operational input into Process Safety reviews, commissioning, and performance test-runs of all Plant Changes.
7. Lead/participate in providing necessary input into incident investigations and problem solving.
8. Provide a direct interface between HRC PD Technology and Operations/Engineering to facilitate implementation of Plant Changes including best practices.
9. Coach other junior technologists and personnel onsite to help build competencies in distillation and process engineering.
10. Identify and implement Business improvement tactics in coverage units
11. Crude evaluation for suitability to the plant capability.
Job Requirements
1. Chemical Engineer with good Process engineering capability and experience is required.
2. Should have 6-10 years Distillation Technology experience in technical services, Process design, development, Optimization & troubleshooting work in oil and gas refining.
3. Should be well versed with refinery configuration, integration and economics is expected.
4. Knowledge of Process Simulation via simulation tools e.g Perto-sim, Hysis , Uni-sim etc
5. Strong leadership and team player skills
6. Good Analytical and critical thinking skill
Annual limit is RM4,000 per family
Annual wellness reimbursement up to RM800 per annum
