In this role you will build reliable, road-ready bikes from diagnosis through final road test. You will develop and refine service routines, improve turnaround times, and help grow our workshop capability by applying solid diagnostic methods and consistent quality checks. Success means accurate first-time repairs, thorough records, and satisfied riders leaving our bay.

You will work closely with the Foreman, parts staff and service advisors to prioritise jobs and keep the workshop organised. Daily tasks include using diagnostic tools, carrying out scheduled maintenance, performing pre- and post-repair inspections, and logging parts and service details for each job.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Service & Repairs

• Perform routine servicing and scheduled maintenance for motorcycles and big bikes, including oil, brake, coolant, chain and battery checks.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, cooling and electrical systems to restore safe operation.
• Remove, repair or replace defective components and complete pre-delivery and post-repair inspections.
• Conduct road tests after repairs to verify performance and safety.

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

• Use motorcycle diagnostic tools and workshop equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and recommend the appropriate repair approach.
• Support the Foreman on complex technical problems and follow manufacturer service procedures.
• Document diagnostic findings clearly to help the team resolve recurring issues.

Workshop Operations & Quality

• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition and report faults promptly.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with safety standards.
• Record servicing details, parts used and repair notes accurately for customer handover.
• Follow workshop procedures and perform other assigned duties to support daily operations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum SPM, Certificate or Diploma in Automotive or Motorcycle Technology.
• 1–3 years of experience as a motorcycle mechanic preferred.
• Exposure to different motorcycle brands and models is an advantage but not required.
• Valid motorcycle licence is required.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Sound knowledge of motorcycle mechanical and electrical systems, including engines and braking systems.
• Comfortable using basic diagnostic tools and standard workshop equipment.
• Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, component replacement and system testing to manufacturer specifications.
• Capable of carrying out road tests and pre/post repair inspections to confirm work quality.
