The Head of Reservoir, Surveillance and Optimisation (RSO) will lead our Reservoir, Surveillance and Optimisation (RSO) team. This pivotal role oversees reservoir engineering, surveillance, and production optimisation across all production fields within Block B. As the Head of RSO, you will manage a team of six, drive technical excellence, and ensure optimal production performance while upholding our commitment to safety, integrity, and collaboration.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead reservoir modelling, reserves reporting, and technical studies.
  • Oversee reservoir surveillance and well performance troubleshooting.
  • Drive production forecasting, enhancement programs, and optimisation using tools like Petex PROSPER and GAP.
  • Manage team performance, development plans, and budget forecasting.
  • Represent RSO in internal and external reporting forums and technical committees.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and company policies.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Petroleum or Chemical preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of work experience, with a minimum of 10 in the upstream oil & gas industry.
  • The personnel must have at least 5 years of work experience in a gas producing field(s).
  • Had experience of carrying out reservoir surveillance.
  • Had experience in leading the identification of production enhancement opportunities until maturation.
  • Had experience in the generation of short and long-term production profiles.
  • Had experience in conducting production modelling such as multiphase well nodal analysis (e.g. using Petex PROSPER) and multiphase network modelling and optimisation (e.g. using Petex GAP).
  • Track record in leading a multi-disciplinary team in delivery of production management.
  • Had experience in the development of work programme and budget.
  • Preferred experience of conducting static and dynamic reservoir modelling.
  • Preferred experience of reserves estimation and reporting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
