JOB SUMMARY:

The IAP Planner reports directly to the Manager of Integrated Asset Planning and is responsible for developing and maintaining the Integrated Asset Plan (IAP) for the company. IAP is the planning process for successful execution of asset strategy and helps to plan, prioritize, and ensure the readiness of activities for execution. All activities incorporated in the plan will drive the WP&B budget for assets. This includes major activities such well interventions, statutory inspections, operations shutdown, projects, and preventive maintenance works.

The IAP planner works and coordinates with various departments’ stakeholders within the company to capture inputs of activity inputs within the IAP scopes and ensure execution feasibility. 

The tasks include scheduling meetings and facilitating communication between parties on all IAP activities with objectives to ensure timely execution of planned activities, prioritize planned and emergent activities based on opportunities and risks, align all functional priorities, and eliminate activity conflicts, optimize resources and improve efficiencies, track & change control for continuous improvement and support delivery of Asset goal for the year. 

The IAP Planner also provides support to Shutdown Project Management Team (PMT) as Shutdown Planner for shutdown activities preparation, operations, and execution at all PM fields.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

IAP Database and Schedule 

Develops/updates Integrated Asset Planning (IAP) database and schedule for all IAP activities for the following tasks:

  • Creates the baseline schedule, S-curves & progress monitoring system using planning and reporting systems / tools i.e. Primavera and MS Excel.
  • Coordinates & engages with the relevant PIC on agreed schedule and maintained detailed integrated database comprising status of the critical, delayed, on-going activities and propose mitigation action to be taken to improve the activities progress.
  • Monitors and tracks execution of IAP activities i.e. actual duration and timing, ad-hoc changes of each multi-disciplinary activities against the planning schedule and identify the shortfall & root cause of the setback in order to optimize the productivity and cost effectiveness for the annual projection budget.
  • Identifies & records the causes for the revision or delay, cancellation & break-ins of any activities towards the schedule.

IAP Dashboard/Visual Reports

  • Develops management dashboard using PowerBI which projects overall monthly IAP progress activities, update and maintain IAP Monthly Dashboard in which includes IAP delivery performance, monthly activity completion, lookahead as well as changes in IAP activities e.g. deferment, cancellation etc

90-days & 30 days IAP Optimization 

  • Assists in preparation of Integrated Asset Planning Monthly meeting or (90/30 days) Integrated Asset Plan which includes updating the IAP Master file (datebase) and PowerBI dashboard on monthly basis.

Integrated Operations Planning (IOP) 

  • Manages interfaces with Integrated Operations Planning (IOP) Planner on regular basis to ensure alignment on execution of IAP activities at offshore locations and attend the IOP meetings whenever required. Provide support on IOP Planner role whenever required i.e. when IOP planner is not available.

IAP Continuous Improvement initiatives

  • Assists in identifying gaps against expected outcome of IAP delivery and provides data and process relevant for implementation of IAP Continuous Improvement initiatives.

IAP for Work Planning & Budget (WP&B)  

  • Assists in coordinating activity input for WP&B annual budgeting from all relevant EICs and maintaining the IAP input database.

Alternate IAP focal person

  • Assumes alternate IAP focal person to provide guidance and support to Engineers In-charged (EICs) on activities planning.

Shutdown Project Management Team 

  • Assumes a key member as Shutdown Planner, supporting shutdown activities preparation, operations, and execution for all fields, which includes: 
    • pre-planning work covering follow up on scheduling, work pack, 
    • establishing mobilization & demobilization plans including POB movement and accommodation
    • getting all the input & tracking pre-shutdown progress in shutdown master worklist from EICs,
    • planning and scheduling shutdown work via Primavera
    • development of a format for reporting and tracking project progress during shutdown execution.
    • coordinating, monitoring, and reporting offshore work progress during shutdown execution with Engineer In-Charge.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a degree in any relevant discipline with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a planning role within the upstream operations of the oil and gas industry.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the planning role for oil and gas industry and upstream operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Primavera & PowerBI.
  • Ability to develop and manage project schedules, preferably up to Level 4 schedule. Prepare and manage progress measurement, tracking system and reporting for planned activities.
  • Understanding how multi-discipline engineering shutdown/turnaround are executed, the interfaces between disciplines, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Self-starter with strong analytical ability, multi-tasking and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess good written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Good liaison, communication and networking skills with different departments and hierarchy.
  • Ability to work at office during preparation and coordination phase (pre-shutdown), offshore during execution phase(shutdown) and offshore/office during post shutdown/close out phase.
