The Senior Manager, Logistics, Warehouse & Inventory Management reports directly to the Head, Operated Asset – Sabah while offering support to all business units within the Company.

  • To ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees at HML’s supply base.
  • To establish work processes encompassing materials management, materials movement, road transport, people movement, vessel movement, scheduled waste and chemical management and crude oil tanker operations.
  • To recruit competent and qualified personnel as required for the department.
  • To manage the execution of effective materials management, people and vessel movement.
  • To oversee and manage all required Contracts under Logistics and participate in all Contracting and Procurement efforts for pre-award and post award contract management.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • A member of the Sabah Asset Leadership team.
  • Responsible for overseeing all of Logistics operations from Materials Management, Movement, Scheduled Waste, Road Transport, Vessel and People Movement and Tanker Operations.
  • To act as the main interface between Labuan operations and KK and KL Headquarters.
  • To ensure all KPIs in each workstream are monitored and achieved through continuous monitoring and reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all of Logistics operations processes and procedures are adhered to and comply with all the Company’s HSSE requirements and all relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of contractors’ performance.
  • Ensures adequate resources and equipment in all workstreams are available to meet demand.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Business Management or related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of work experience, preferably with prior experience in Logistics.
  • Skilled in developing and managing materials management processes and plans for events such as turnarounds, preservation, and material storage.
  • Proficient in creating, implementing, and enhancing category or supply chain strategies.
  • Experienced in inventory and warehouse management and optimization.
  • Adept at using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Competent in managing contracts and improving contractor performance.
