Senior Project Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation)

The Senior Project Engineer (E&I) will report directly to the Head of Engineering & Construction Services within the Technical Department. The job holder will specialize in engineering role for a medium and low voltage electrical and instrumentation. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in the oil and gas industry covering conceptual and design stages, constructions and installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Review engineering designs for the electrical and instrumentation scope from Engineering Consultant to ensure the design is fit for use, effective, and efficient – complying with company good practices, local regulations, and international standards within the oil and gas industry.
• Review technical proposals and provide technical evaluation for the procurement related to the electrical and instrumentation scope.
• Review construction contractor proposal for the technical specification related to electrical and instrumentation scope.
• Follow up during installations, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages for the electrical and instrumentation scopes.
• Manage technical deliverables and schedule for the assigned scope.
• Provide technical input and solutions for electrical and instrumentation issues within HEB.
• Effective communication with internal teams and contractors.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry, 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in brownfield projects, and 3 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in Engineering Consultancy.
• Familiar with Electrical International Standards (IEC, NEMA), Project Management Skills, Integrated Controls and Safety Systems, and System Commissioning.
• Familiar and technical sounds for understanding in field transmitters, analyzer, control valves, and other process instrumentation.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting P&ID, Single Line Diagrams, Loop Drawings, and Hook Up Diagrams.
• Understands EX Installation and Compliance.
• Able to mentor Junior Engineers, Technicians, & Apprentices.
• Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
