Position Summary

The Application Engineer (Air Moving) will be responsible for providing technical support, application design, and system integration assistance for air-moving and HVAC-related products.

This role supports OEM customers, HVAC system manufacturers, and regional sales teams, ensuring that product solutions meet performance, quality, and application requirements across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for HVAC and air-moving system applications.
• Provide technical consultation and application support for motors, drives, fans, and system integration projects.
• Work closely with sales teams to prepare technical proposals, specifications, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Support customers in product selection, system configuration, testing, and commissioning.
• Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis for system performance issues.
• Collaborate with regional engineering and sales departments to align technical requirements with business objectives.
• Build and maintain customer relationships with HVAC manufacturers, OEMs, and distribution partners.
• Stay updated on HVAC market trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, ideally with AHU manufacturers, fan suppliers, or system integrators.
• Experience in technical support, application engineering, or pre/post-sales engineering within HVAC or electrical component manufacturing.
• Familiar with air-moving systems, fan selection, and HVAC motor applications.

Technical Skills:

• Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of PLC, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and HVAC control systems.
• Capable of conducting on-site installation, troubleshooting, and system validation.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Excellent command of English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred for regional coordination.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong business acumen with ability to align technical recommendations with commercial outcomes.

Other Requirements:

• Willing to travel up to 50% across Southeast Asia.
• Preferably below 40 years old.
• Open to all genders and ethnicities (Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred due to client portfolio)
