Job Description

Role Purpose

This role is designed for someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and ownership. The successful candidate will be trusted to take charge of their scope quickly and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Group Finance Support & Ownership

  • Support the Group Finance Lead in overseeing finance matters across multiple group entities
  • Take ownership of assigned entities and manage them confidently with minimal supervision
  • Understand each entity’s operations, risks, and reporting requirements independently

2. Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Review monthly management accounts for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Assist with group consolidation, including minority interest accounting
  • Prepare clear variance analysis and financial summaries for management
  • Ensure reporting deadlines are met consistently

3. Proactive Issue Identification & Problem‑Solving

  • Identify potential issues early, including financial, compliance, or process‑related matters
  • Escalate matters constructively, together with practical recommendations or solution options
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, controls, and reporting quality

4. Operating Unit & Event Support

  • Provide finance support to main operating units.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring for event‑based activities.
  • Support high‑volume operations, particularly for the Philippines subsidiary.

5. Audit, Compliance & Controls

  • Coordinate audits and statutory filings across all jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and group policies.
  • Monitor dormant and low‑activity entities to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement of internal controls and documentation.

6. Tax, Intercompany & Cash Flow Management

  • Oversee tax filings, GST/VAT submissions, and statutory reporting.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors on cross‑border and withholding tax matters.
  • Monitor cash flow positions and highlight risks or funding needs in a timely manner.

7. Outsourced Accounting Services (External Clients)

  • Manage outsourced accounting engagements for assigned clients.
  • Ensure timely monthly reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
  • Act as a professional and reliable accounting contact for clients.
  • Deliver services in line with agreed timelines and quality standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
  • Experience in:
    • Group or regional finance roles.
    • Cross‑border or multi‑entity environments.
  • Exposure to outsourced accounting or client‑facing work is an advantage.
  • Experience in event‑based, project‑based, or services businesses is a plus.
