Job Description

• Operate and maintain 11kV switchgear, transformers, generators, and UPS systems, etc.
• Perform high-voltage switching operations and isolation procedures safely.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on HV/LV electrical systems including company solar panel system and machinery system.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with Electricity Supply Act 1990; Electricity Regulations 1994 and Energy Commission (ST) requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and statutory compliance, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• 24hrs on call to trouble shoot electrical power failure and Facility breakdown.
• Support other M&E systems (HVAC, fire alarms, solar panel, lifts) and other building services as required.
• Manage daily operations of the plant’s electrical systems, ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
• Liaise with utility providers (e.g. TNB) and relevant authorities for inspections and licensing matters.
• Supervise contractors and vendors on plant maintenance, electrical servicing, and safety compliance.
• Implement and monitor safety practices and compliance under OSHA and company policies.
• Participate in safety drills and audits.
• To perform other duties, assignments, and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent education with at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining high-voltage electrical systems (up to 11kV).
• Candidate with Chargeman BO (11kV) Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
• Ability to perform high-voltage switching operations safely and independently.
• Good troubleshooting skills and experience with preventive maintenance.
• Willingness to work on-call and respond to electrical emergencies.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.
• Preferably working in a manufacturing industry.
