Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Database Administrator to manage and maintain our client's company databases. You will ensure databases are secure, high-performing, and always available to support business operations.
- Install, configure, and maintain databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Monitor database performance and resolve issues.
- Manage backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and access control.
- Perform performance tuning (queries, indexes, configurations).
- Support replication, clustering, and failover setup.
- Work with developers on database design and application support.
- Apply patches and upgrades.
- Maintain documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of DBA experience.
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of backup & recovery, performance tuning, and database security.
- Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
