Job Description
- Manage and maintain multiple database platforms such as MSSQL, DB2, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Sybase
- Perform database installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Monitor database performance and conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Handle backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) validation processes
- Conduct regular health checks to ensure database stability and availability
- Support middleware clustering and platform administration activities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure smooth database operations
8. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and reports
9. Ensure compliance with best practices in data security, integrity, and availability
Job Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in managing more than 1 database such as MSSQL, DB2, MariaDB, MongoDB, Postgres, Sybase
- Strong understanding of platform administration
- Experience in middleware clustering
- Expertise in database installation, configuration & upgrade
- Performance tuning & troubleshooting
- Healthcheck & DR validation
- Experience in database backup & recovery
- Strong stakeholder coordination
- Fluent in English communication. Bahasa Melayu is added advantage.
- Good in technical documentation writing.
