Job Description

• Execute wiring, cabling, terminations, and connections for EV charger installations, including AC and DC power circuits, control wiring, communication/data wiring (e.g. Ethernet, CAN, Modbus).
• Install and maintain power distribution panels, switchgear, circuit breakers, isolators, protection relays, and output interfaces (e.g. to charging stations).
• Work on battery system wiring, including DC busbars, battery interconnects, protective circuits, fuses, and monitoring systems.
• Read and interpret detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and system layouts.
• Assist with system verification, testing, commissioning, and validation of electrical systems and EV chargers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of wiring, connectors, insulation integrity, and grounding systems.
• Troubleshoot faults, diagnose wiring or connection issues, and carry out repairs or rework as needed.
• Ensure cable routing, bundling, support, strain relief, and adherence to electrical best practices.
• Comply with lock-out/tag-out and safe practices when working on live / high voltage systems.
• Coordinate with other engineers/teams (power electronics, civil, network, communications) to ensure the integrity of integrated systems.
• Maintain accurate as-built wiring records, drawings, change logs, and test reports.
• Adhere strictly to PW4 certification guidelines, relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g. MS IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.), and company safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, test instrumentation, and ensure calibration and safe condition of equipment.

Job Requirements

• Mandatory PW4 certification (valid and in good standing).
• Diploma, certificate or equivalent in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.
• At least 3–5 years (or more) of experience in electrical wiring, installation, or maintenance in industrial / utility / power distribution / EV charging sectors.
• Knowledge of AC & DC electrical systems, power electronics, and battery / energy storage systems.
• Experience working with medium / low voltage power distribution, switchgear, converters, rectifiers, and related systems.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring / schematic diagrams, single line diagrams, layout plans.
• Experience with testing, commissioning, and diagnostics of electrical installations.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, good safety mindset, teamwork orientation.
• Preference: experience in EV charger installation, or battery energy systems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in EV power systems.
