Job Description

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will be at the front lines of deploying SupplyOS: our agentic AI platform that is redefining how large enterprises run procurement, inventory, manufacturing, and logistics operations across Asia.

FDEs here at our client side are not desk-bound engineers. They are hands-on problem solvers who work directly with customers to tackle real, high-impact operational challenges. In this role, you will turn messy, real-world requirements into working deployed systems by integrating enterprise data sources, configuring intelligent agentic workflows, and writing production-quality code that runs in live environments. You will independently deliver Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), help customers move from idea to production, and play an active role in real deployments at scale.

You will collaborate closely with senior FDEs, Platform Engineering, and Product teams on more complex engagements, learning how to operate at scale while steadily increasing your ownership and impact. This role is ideal for engineers who want real responsibility, real customers, and real systems, and who are excited to grow into a senior, mission-owning FDE over time.

1. Customer Engagement & Scoping

  • Work with customers to understand their operational context, systems, and data landscape.
  • Support scoping of Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and deployments, with guidance from senior FDEs when needed.
  • Help define clear success criteria for POCs and deployments, anchored on business value.

2. Data Integration & Engineering

  • Integrate customer data sources such as ERPs, VMSs, and databases into SupplyOS.
  • Build and maintain reliable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and validation.
  • Assist with authentication and access setup in collaboration with customer IT teams.

3. Agentic Workflow Configuration & Customisation

  • Configure and adapt existing SupplyOS agentic workflows to customer use cases.
  • Assist in designing simple to moderately complex agentic workflows under guidance.
  • Support fine-tuning or adaptation of existing agents for customer-specific domain tasks.

4. Deployment & Operationalisation

  • Work with Platform Engineering and DevOps teams to deploy SupplyOS environments.
  • Support performance tuning, debugging, and reliability improvements post-deployment.
  • Help customers move from POC to production-ready implementations.

5. Product Engineering

  • Identify recurring customer needs and feedback that can inform core product improvements.
  • Contribute code, configuration, or documentation back to the core SupplyOS platform.
  • Share learnings and best practices with the broader FDE and product engineering teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience as a software engineer, data engineer, or related role.
  • Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals (clean code, testing, debugging).
  • Experience working with APIs, databases, and data pipelines in production environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and basic deployment concepts.
  • Comfortable working with customers or stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and learn quickly.
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts (e.g. LLMs, workflows, inference pipelines), even if not deep yet.

Desired Skills

  • Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, procurement, or supply-chain platforms.
  • Exposure to containerisation (Docker) and basic CI/CD workflows with Terraform, GitHub Actions.
  • Experience supporting POCs, pilots, or early-stage deployments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong sense of curiosity, ownership, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
