Job Description

This role is a hands-on HR position responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle within a growing exhibition and interior design environment. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, and day-to-day HR operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and Malaysian employment regulations.

The role requires someone who is organized, firm, and confident in handling employee matters. You will act as the main HR point of contact, supporting both operational needs and employee engagement initiatives while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including job posting, screening, interviewing, and hiring
  • Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate orientation and onboarding processes for new hires

HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Handle confirmation, renewal, transfer, and resignation processes
  • Monitor attendance, leave, and staff movement records

Payroll & Compliance

  • Coordinate payroll processing and statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Employment Act and company policies
  • Support HR reporting and audits when required

Employee Relations & Development

  • Act as the main HR contact point for employees
  • Handle disciplinary matters and employee relations issues professionally
  • Support performance appraisal exercises and training coordination

Job Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 1–3 years HR experience (hands-on in recruitment & payroll preferred)
  • Experience handling statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act and labor regulations
  • Able to manage employee lifecycle matters (confirmation, resignation, warning letters, etc.)
  • Mandarin-speaking (Chinese required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic HR systems
  • Able to handle confidential matters professionally
