Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to space planning, conceptual design, and design development phases.

• Collaborate with the design team to establish design direction and produce innovative solutions aligned with client needs and project goals.

• Conduct site analysis, inventory assessments, and develop presentation materials including mood boards and PowerPoint decks.

• Produce 2D and 3D renderings or artist impressions as required to communicate design intent.

• Participate in ongoing correspondence with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

• Attend and contribute to weekly client, consultant, and trade contractor meetings upon project

commencement.

• Translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and construction documents.

• Oversee and review tender and construction drawing packages developed by the design team.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all drawings with relevant regulations and client requirements.

• Obtain final approvals and sign-offs on all drawings and material selections.

• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals where applicable.

• Support tender processes and participate in site observations to ensure adherence to design intent.

• Liaise with quantity surveyors and contractors on costing, detailing, and design clarification.

• Coordinate with building management, architects, and consultants to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and building codes.

• Monitor project progress to ensure timely and on-budget delivery, aligned with client expectations.

• Uphold and enhance internal design standards and ensure consistency across projects.

• Conduct quality control reviews on design output and provide guidance to junior designers.

• Maintain and update the material and sample library to support design development.

• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source materials, obtain quotations, and evaluate finishes.

• Ensure proposed materials meet design, budget, and quality requirements.

• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Design Manager.

• Support the team with general design-related administrative tasks and documentation as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 to 4 years of professional experience in interior design, with exposure to commercial and corporate offices.

• A compelling portfolio showcasing design excellence across medium to large-scale interior design projects.

• Strong knowledge of interior design principles including space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, and furniture specifications.

• Skilled in client communication and presentations, with confidence in managing client relationships and design reviews.

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including contractors, consultants, and suppliers.

• Competent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and presentation tools.
