Job Description

Load Control is responsible for managing and overseeing the aircraft’s overall load distribution to

ensure every flight is operated safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

This includes coordinating the allocation of passenger, cargo, and baggage weight, and performing

detailed weight-and-balance calculations to develop accurate load plans. By optimizing how weight is

distributed across the aircraft, Load Control helps maximize fuel efficiency and aircraft performance

while preventing overloading and maintaining the aircraft’s structural integrity.

The successful candidate will be responsible to:

• Support the Manager in coordinating and supervising daily load control operations, including oversight of operational and support personnel.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between Centralised Load Control (CLC) staff, Flight Operations, Stations, Cargo, and Operations Control to coordinate communications and operational requirements.
• Ensure load planning, weight and balance calculations, and loadsheet production are performed accurately and on time.
• Review and verify documentation (loadsheets, Notification to Captain (NOTOC), etc.) for accuracy and proper filing.
• Oversee all operational support functions such as staff rostering, shift scheduling, and flight assignments to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
• Coordinate and deliver hands-on training sessions, simulations, and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) exercises.
• Track key performance metrics such as loadsheet accuracy, turnaround times, and incident rates, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Investigate and assist in resolving any operational discrepancies, safety incidents, or delays involving load control activities.
• Assist in the promotion of a safety-first culture.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Load Control.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A technical background would be advantageous
• 4-5 years of experience in airline operations
• Prior experience in load control would be beneficial
• Experience leading and managing an operations team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Critical and logical mindset
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Certifications in Weight & Balance and Dangerous Goods Regulations are advantageous
