Job Description
The Manager, Business Systems & Transformation is responsible for leading Company's digital transformation initiatives by overseeing enterprise systems, business process optimisation, data governance, business intelligence and strategic reporting.
The role is accountable for the successful implementation, administration and continuous enhancement of the organisation's integrated business systems, and any digital initiatives while ensuring that organisational data is transformed into meaningful insights that support evidence-based decision-making, operational excellence and long-term business strategy.
The incumbent serves as the organisation's business systems owner, responsible for aligning technology, people, processes and data to improve organisational effectiveness and member experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Systems Management
- Lead the implementation of enterprise systems from project initiation through post-implementation support.
- Serve as System Owner for all organisational digital platforms.
- Manage system configuration, enhancement requests and release management.
- Ensure systems remain aligned with organisational priorities and future business requirements.
- Develop long-term system roadmaps.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend future digital solutions.
- Lead future system procurements, upgrades and integrations.
2. Project Management
- Lead organisation-wide digital transformation projects.
- Develop project plans, budgets, timelines and governance structures.
- Coordinate cross-functional implementation teams.
- Manage project risks and issues.
- Monitor vendor performance and contractual deliverables.
- Report project progress to Management and Board.
3. Business Process Management
- Review and redesign business processes across the organisation.
- Develop future-state operating models.
- Standardise workflows and procedures.
- Develop SOPs and process documentation.
- Identify automation opportunities.
- Promote continuous process improvement.
4. Business Analysis
- Gather business requirements.
- Conduct gap analyses.
- Translate operational needs into functional requirements.
- Validate system design against business objectives.
- Ensure solutions meet operational needs.
5. Data Governance & Data Management
- Develop and maintain organisational data governance standards, policies and procedures.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy and consistency across all systems.
- Establish data ownership, access controls and data lifecycle management practices.
- Oversee master data management for members, programmes, events, finance and board intelligence records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection, privacy and governance requirements.
- Promote data stewardship and best practices across the organisation.
6. Business Intelligence, Analytics & Strategic Reporting
- Develop organisation-wide dashboards and management reporting frameworks.
- Analyse operational, financial, membership and programme data to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
- Produce executive dashboards to support Management Committee and Board decision-making.
- Develop KPI frameworks and performance scorecards.
- Translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.
- Build forecasting models to support strategic planning, budgeting, membership growth and programme development.
- Support evidence-based decision-making through data analytics.
7. Business Strategy Support
- Provide analytical insights to support organisational strategy development.
- Identify business opportunities through trend analysis and predictive reporting.
- Monitor organisational performance against strategic objectives.
- Support business planning and resource allocation using data-driven insights.
- Recommend strategic initiatives based on operational and market intelligence.
- Work closely with business units to improve performance outcomes.
8. Vendor & Technology Partner Management
- Manage relationships with system vendors and implementation partners.
- Monitor service levels and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate enhancement requests.
- Review solution proposals.
- Lead vendor evaluations for future technologies.
9. Change Management
- Develop organisational change management strategies.
- Lead communication and user engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate user training.
- Promote user adoption.
- Manage organisational readiness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure systems comply with governance and security requirements.
- Maintain project governance documentation.
- Monitor technology risks.
- Coordinate business continuity planning relating to enterprise systems.
- Support internal and external audits involving systems and data.
