Job Description

A medical device / biomedical manufacturing company producing high-precision or regulated-quality products. The production environment includes packaging cleanly, safely, under applicable standards (e.g. ISO 13485, GMP), ensuring product integrity for domestic and export markets.

Position Summary

The Packaging Operator is responsible for performing packaging tasks of manufactured goods, ensuring that products are packed accurately, cleanly, and according to specification. The role supports production flow, meets packaging standards, assists with quality checks, and helps maintain clean, safe work areas. This role does not require specialized certifications; previous packaging or manufacturing experience is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare packaging materials (boxes, trays, labels, wraps, inner/outer packaging) according to product specification.
  • Pack products correctly and securely, ensuring proper orientation, protection, labeling, and documentation.
  • Seal, label, and inspect finished packages for defects, cleanliness, correct quantity, correct labeling.
  • Perform basic quality checks: visual inspection, dimensional checking of package or product if needed.
  • Ensure packaging stations are clean, organized, and meet hygiene / cleanliness / cleanroom protocols if applicable.
  • Maintain inventory of packaging supplies; report shortages or defects.
  • Assist with packaging machine operations if semi-automated: loading, monitoring, basic adjustments.
  • Follow SOPs / work instructions / packaging schedules.
  • Record packaging output data: number of units packed, rejects, downtime, etc.
  • Collaborate with QC / Production / Export teams to ensure compliance with regulatory packaging requirements.
  • Adhere to safety, PPE, and hygiene standards.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM / equivalent secondary school certificate.
  • Previous experience in a packaging, manufacturing, or assembly role is a plus. Fresh candidates may be considered if willing to train.
  • Basic ability to follow work instruction, read labels / simple drawings.
  • Attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination.
  • Able to work standing up, performing repetitive tasks, possibly lifting moderate weights (within safe limits).
  • Willing to work shifts / overtime if required.
  • Good teamwork attitude, reliability, punctuality.
