Job Description

1. Design, develop and maintain PostgreSQL databases and related applications
2. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
3. Monitor database performance and optimize system performance
4. Ensure database availability, security and reliability
5. Backup and restore databases, and implement disaster recovery plans
6. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
7. Collaborate with developers to design efficient and effective database structures
8. Develop and maintain database documentation and data dictionaries
9. Work with team members to implement best practices and standards for database administration
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in database development and administration
11. Provide support to users to trouble-shoot and rectified data related issues

Job Requirements

1. At least 2 years of experience in developing and administering PostgreSQL databases
2. Understanding of database design principles and optimization techniques
3. Proficiency in SQL and experience with query optimization
4. Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures
5. Experience with database security and user management
6. Familiarity with database administration tools and utilities
7. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. Minimum Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
