Production Manager in a metal stamping filed responsible to Overseeing production processes. Planning a production schedule. Making decisions about equipment use and maintenance. Implementing improvements to the production process. Estimating costs and preparing budgets. Ensuring products meet quality standards. Supervising and evaluating the performance of production personnel. Preparing production reports

Duties and responsibilities

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:
   -Collaborating with the planning department to create production schedules that align with customer orders and delivery timelines.
   -Ensuring efficient utilization of resources, including machines, manpower, and materials, to optimize production output.
2. Process Oversight and Quality Control:
   -Monitoring and supervising working processes to ensure that they are carried out according to established procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols. -Conducting regular quality checks and inspections of of the metal part to assess accuracy, consistency, and overall product quality.
3. Team Management and Supervision:
   -Leading and supervising a team of production operators and workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
   -Assigning tasks, monitoring work progress, and addressing any issues that arise during production.
4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
   -Identifying and addressing any production-related problems, such as equipment malfunctions, material inconsistencies, or process deviations.
   -Collaborating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and prevent reoccurrences.
5. Process Improvement:
   -Analyzing production data and identifying opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements.
   -Implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production performance.
6. Inventory Management:
   -Monitoring and managing inventory levels of WIP AND FINISH GOODS for the working process.
   -Coordinating with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of necessary materials.
7. Health and Safety:
   -Ensuring a safe working environment for production staff by enforcing safety guidelines and promoting adherence to safety protocols.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
   -Maintaining accurate records of production activities, including batch details, quality assessments, and any incidents base on ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements -Generating completed production monthly reports and performance metrics for management review.
9. Liaising with other departments, such as QA , Tooling dept and etc. for design, and quality assurance, to facilitate seamless coordination and communication.
10. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address customer requirements, resolve issues, and meet production goals.
11. Conducting training sessions for production staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of overall processes and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of production management experience in metal stamping or related manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of stamping processes, tooling/dies, machine capacity, and workflow optimization.
• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation (manpower, machines, materials).
• Hands-on experience with quality control processes and adherence to ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards.
• Ability to conduct troubleshooting for equipment issues, process deviations, and production bottlenecks.
• Strong leadership skills with experience supervising and developing production teams.
• Capable of analyzing production data and driving continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen is an advantage).
• Knowledge in inventory management for WIP and finished goods.
• Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate across QA, Tooling, Maintenance, and Planning departments.
• Strong reporting skills, able to prepare daily/weekly/monthly production performance reports.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet delivery timelines and customer requirements.
