Summary: We are looking for an experienced candidate with strong background to oversee operation activities in Sheet Metal fabrication environment. Have excellent management and leadership skills to lead teams in achieving departmental goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and other Plant goals and KPIs. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers.
Job functions as required below:-
• Interpret and review technical drawings (2D/3D) using AutoCAD and open/view STEP files for
detailed analysis.
• Assess and determine suitable manufacturing methods — e.g. stamping, laser cutting,
bending, welding, buffing, or a combination.
• Translate product drawings into feasible production plans based on material types, part
complexity, and quantity.
• Work with internal engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and
alignment to in-house capabilities.
• Manage and allocate resources, equipment and materials for Sheet Metal/Grinding,
Fabricating, Laser Cut and Bending processes.
• Track performance and delegate project tasks to staff workers.
• Prepare schedules and co-ordinate with close monitoring on assigned engineering projects
and new projects to meet deadlines.
• Develop strategic, operating budgets and cost savings to improve effectiveness of operation.
• Advise and interact with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements.
• Review defective parts and initiate necessary corrective actions to attain Quality
expectations from customers.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies and advancements in sheet metal
fabrication processes to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or extensive related experience in CNC
equipments and sheet metal laser programming.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and capable of analyzing STEP files and engineering drawings.
• Sound knowledge of metal materials and fabrication processes: laser cutting, punching,
bending, MIG/TIG welding, buffing and assembly.
• Preferably skillful experience in the essential of Bending tolerances, bend radius value , bend
line accuracy in parameter settings to determine the accurate formed angle results for
finished products.
• Must be motivated and able to work on own initiative.
• Familiar with production flow, subcontracting processes, and cost structure principles.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in solving design and cost-related challenges.
