Job Description

• Assist in scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. 
• Ensure the project's compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. 
• Assist in preparing weekly summary reports on the progress of work and the team.
• Report regularly on progress to the client and stakeholders. 
• Oversee and monitor the progress of building construction works in accordance with contracts and construction drawings. 
• Prepare progress claims and all supporting documents for the consultant and main contractor. 
• Oversee and coordinate high-rise project activities, ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that monthly claims are submitted on time. 
• Prepare quotations and invoices for other projects. 
• Ensure the collection of progress claims and resolve any discrepancies in amounts with the client. 
• Meet budget and project deadlines. 
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors. 
• Assist in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Ensure that each stage of the project happens on time, within budget, and to a high standard. 
• Liaise with authorities and consultants to obtain all relevant approvals for development projects. 
• Coordinate with consultants during the conceptual design, design development, and tender stages through to project completion. 
• Ensure project implementation and completion within the stipulated time, cost, and quality parameters. 
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks. 
• Track project performance, specifically analysing the successful completion of both short- and long-term goals. 
• Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. 
• Develop and submit method of Statements, catalogue, and sample board for approval. 
• Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) as required. 
• Attend and actively participate in site meetings. 
• Monitor and manage inventory purchases and material ordering by issuing the Material requisition Form (MRF). 
• Prepare and compile the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manual. 
• Interact with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field. 
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support to reduce downtime and improve quality. 
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time. 

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experience in Project Engineer roles (construction/M&E industry preferred).
• Electrical company background is preferred.
• Able to work independently in a fast pace environment
• Able to converse well with team, stakeholder and subcontractor
