Overview

Our client is a reputable international construction and engineering firm handling large-scale infrastructure and industrial developments across Malaysia. Their Genting Highlands project offers hands-on exposure to cost control, contracts, and project coordination in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The Quantity Surveyor will handle all commercial and contract-related aspects of the project, ensuring effective cost management, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine material and labour requirements.
• Handle progress claims, variation orders, and payment certifications.
• Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Support procurement and project teams with cost data and documentation.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 1–3 years’ experience in construction project cost management (fresh graduates considered).
• Good understanding of contract administration, tendering, and claims.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and cost analysis tools.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
