Location: Johor Bahru (with flexibility for home-based arrangements in nearby areas: Melaka, Muar, Kluang)

Position Summary

The Sales Engineer (Cables & Connectivity) will be responsible for driving sales of industrial and electrical cable solutions, primarily within Southern Malaysia.

This role involves outdoor sales, engaging directly with contractors, distributors, system integrators, and industrial clients to provide technical product support and develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell industrial cables, connectivity, and electrical solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, OEMs, distributors, and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct product presentations, site visits, and technical consultations with clients.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cable and connectivity recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on quotation, pricing, and order processing.
  • Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and project developments in the industrial and building sectors.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates regularly.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.

Experience:

  • Preferably 1–3 years of sales or technical experience in cables, fire alarm systems, connectivity solutions, or related electrical products.
  • Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and willingness to do outdoor sales are encouraged to apply.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Strong interest or background in electrical products, industrial components, or connectivity technology.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred for client communication.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Other Details:

  • Candidates based in Melaka, Muar, or Kluang are welcome to apply — home-based work arrangement available (must be able to travel to Johor Bahru office as required).
  • Initial training will be conducted at the Johor Bahru office before transitioning to a hybrid/home-based mode.
  • Must hold a valid driving license and be comfortable with frequent customer visits and travel.
