Position Summary

The Sales Executive (Food Ingredients) will be responsible for business development and account management within the food manufacturing and ingredient supply sectors.

This role involves identifying new opportunities, managing customer relationships, and promoting a range of food ingredient products such as flavorings, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and other food additives to manufacturers and processing companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales of food ingredients to customers in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure consistent service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and technical teams to provide product recommendations and solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, sampling trials, and technical discussions with clients.
  • Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and reports to track business performance.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and deliverables on sales targets.
  • Travel within Klang Valley and occasionally outstation to meet clients and support regional sales initiatives.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in food ingredients, food manufacturing, or food chemistry.
  • Candidates with sales experience from other industries and a science-related educational background are welcome to apply.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Knowledge of food formulations, functional ingredients, and processing applications is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in English; ability to communicate in Mandarin is a strong advantage for liaising with Chinese-speaking clients.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel within Klang Valley and outstation when required.
  • Open to all genders; Mandarin speakers preferred.
