Position Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Field Sales Manager (Ocean & Air Freight) to lead business development and client acquisition within the international freight forwarding and logistics sector.
- This role is fully focused on new business development (100% hunting), targeting potential customers in import/export, manufacturing, and trading industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain management, freight operations, trade compliance, and market trends to deliver tailored logistics solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition through proactive sales prospecting and client engagement within the ocean and air freight forwarding segments.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify, approach, and secure new customers — focusing on hunter-style business development activities.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and logistics solutions to clients.
- Collaborate closely with internal operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international logistics regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.
- Analyze market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor and report sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline progress to senior management.
- Represent the company in client meetings, industry events, and trade discussions.
- Ensure all business transactions comply with company policies, service standards, and ethical guidelines.
