Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans for a car brand, aligned with HQ directives, business objectives, market demand, product lifecycle, and nationwide dealer network capacity.
  • Own end-to-end sales planning and forecasting processes, including volume planning, model mix, target allocation, and performance tracking across regions, outlets, and dealer partners.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, dealer productivity, and inventory movement (CBU/CKD) to identify risks, opportunities, and required corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present sales plans, rolling forecasts, performance dashboards, and analytical insights to senior management to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, and Dealer Development teams to ensure alignment on sales targets, product availability, campaign execution, and dealer readiness.
  • Manage, validate, and continuously improve sales planning tools, reports, dashboards, and data accuracy across internal systems to ensure reliable forecasting and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sales planning frameworks, processes, and KPIs to enhance execution efficiency, agility, and responsiveness to Malaysia market dynamics.
  • Support dealer network planning activities, including sales target setting, performance reviews, incentive alignment, and rollout of HQ-led sales initiatives and new model launches.
  • Lead, coach, and guide Sales Planning Executives or Analysts, ensuring effective task prioritization, capability development, and consistent delivery of planning outputs.
  • Act as the key point of contact for sales planning matters, ensuring timely communication, alignment, and coordination between HQ functions and the dealer network.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales planning, sales operations, business planning, or data analytics, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales operations, dealer network management, volume planning, and market dynamics in Malaysia.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, translate insights into actionable sales plans, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, dashboards); experience with ERP systems or BI tools is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
  • Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication abilities, with experience engaging senior management.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset, able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight timelines.
