Job Description

• Lead and support design documentation for comprehensive AV systems, including audio, video, lighting, SFX and control systems.
• Design and plan AV systems for immersive, interactive, exhibition, gallery, museum, themed or experience-led environments.
• Translate creative direction into practical AV layouts, system architecture and technical documentation.
• Integrate technical fixtures into the themed or built environment where possible, while maintaining the intended creative and guest experience.
• Work with creative teams to ensure AV elements align with the project theme, story and narrative.
• Design and integrate video displays, projection systems and LED installations for storytelling and interactive experiences.
• Coordinate with media/content teams where required, with media content provided by others.
• Support detailed design for control and automation systems, including show control operation and custom control system user interfaces.
• Prepare, review or interpret AV block diagrams, line diagrams, logic diagrams, network schematics and system architecture documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Design Managers, Creative Directors, Project Managers, AV suppliers and other stakeholders to manage the AV scope design integration.
• Ensure designs can be executed accurately and efficiently from design stage to construction or implementation stage.
• Understand the creative objectives within each scene or experience, and ensure the technical design supports the intended guest experience.
• Review 3D models or Navisworks where required to support spatial coordination and technical integration.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in theatre activations, AV system integration, exhibitions, museums, galleries, digital installations, interactive experiences, themed attractions or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of audio visual systems, including audio, video, projection, LED, multimedia playback, SFX, control systems and show control.
• Knowledge of control systems, servers, networking and interactive technologies.
• Familiarity with multimedia workflows, including video, animation, interactive content and sensors.
• Strong ability to prepare and interpret AV block diagrams, line diagrams, logic diagrams, network schematics and system architecture documentation.
• Hands-on experience and/or strong technical knowledge of AV equipment, control systems, network infrastructure and multimedia playback systems.
• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams from design to construction.
• Strong problem-solving ability, technical aptitude and structured troubleshooting approach.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling or Navisworks will be an added advantage.
• Experience with themed attractions or experiential design projects will be an added advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of theatrical productions and entertainment will be an added advantage.
• Very good English to liase with foreign technicians
