Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that power our client's digital wealth advisory platform.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement scalable backend systems, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless communication between systems and users.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) to manage, store, and optimize financial data.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end solutions that enhance user experience.
• Implement best practices in data security and ensure compliance with financial regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
• Continuously monitor, optimize, and refactor backend code to improve system performance and scalability.
• Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance our technical capabilities.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of building and deploying scalable systems.
• Strong proficiency in backend programming language Node.js. Solid understanding or experience in frontend programming React.js.
• Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.
• Skilled in designing and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Proficient in both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on building strong relationships across teams.
