This role is responsible for evaluating and approving hire purchase loan applications while ensuring strong credit quality and compliance with internal policies. The position supports business growth by performing independent credit assessments, verifying customer information, and contributing to knowledge sharing within the credit team to maintain consistent approval standards and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Evaluation & Loan Approval

• Process, evaluate, and approve hire purchase (HP) loan applications in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
• Perform independent credit assessment and recommend appropriate approval decisions based on risk analysis.
• Review customer income documents and supporting materials for accuracy and completeness.

Customer Verification & Risk Review

• Verify customer personal, employment, and financial information to ensure data integrity and prevent fraud.
• Identify potential credit risks and flag irregularities for further review.

Team Support & Operational Excellence

• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior credit officers and related teams.
• Support ad-hoc credit requests, special cases, and operational tasks when required.
• Maintain high service standards and turnaround time while ensuring compliance with credit policies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in credit decisioning with delegated loan approval authority.
• Strong background in credit assessment within banking or financial services environment.
• Ability to guide and support junior credit executives.
• CCE certification is an advantage.
• Mature, independent, and able to work well under pressure.
• Good written and spoken communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
