Job Description

    • Contribute to developing key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace
    • Share community management best practices and top-performing content with regional social media contacts
    • Develop network of industry contacts; participate in relevant professional associations
    • Research new media technology; Understand and apply advanced search knowledge for both visibility and investigative needs 
    • Help to interpret media strategy and translate it into communication planning action steps
    • Be personable, engaging and professional
    • Detailed-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to be effective in creating compelling content
    • Solid research and writing skills
    • Flexible and agile and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines
    • Be able to provide sound counsel to clients as well as be comfortable providing editorial and response recommendations to clients
    • Be able to work collaboratively with all implementation teams to ensure that the brand’s communication objectives and strategies are met
    • Exhibit effective project management working closely with account teams and keep them abreast of timelines and deadlines
    • Develop relationships with the community and industry contacts, they must also be able to foster relationships within the organization in order to surface the stories, priorities and information that will serve the community and the company well

Job Requirements

    • At least two years of experience in analytics, digital, or social media-related efforts.
    • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in journalism/business/marketing
    • Understand the role that social and digital media plays in a client’s communication mix
    • Have a solid a sense of how social media tools work as well as the cadence of social media platforms
    • Familiarity with content management systems
    • Experience utilizing online listening tools and understand why online monitoring is important and be able to identify tools (paid and free) that can be used to identify relevant conversations and influencers
    • Be able to support online marketing and issues management campaigns
    • Basic understanding of social media reporting tools
    • Be able to provide sound counsel to clients as well as be comfortable providing editorial and response recommendations to clients
    • Solid grasp of Word of Mouth/ digital marketing, a strong social media footprint, and acute knowledge of emerging trends and technologies.
    • Core understanding of brands and brand character
    • Previous community management experience, from managing a client’s social media presence to building a strong social media footprint.
    • Have a solid understanding of online outreach and apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate online engagement strategies
