Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join a growing engineering team developing a digital platform that connects students with universities locally and internationally. The platform supports course discovery, university applications, and student engagement through a modern web-based experience.

In this role, you will work closely with the engineering team, product team, and UI/UX designers to build intuitive, high-performance web applications. You will also play a key role in shaping frontend architecture and maintaining high engineering standards while mentoring junior developers.

Frontend Development

• Develop and maintain interactive web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces that deliver a seamless user experience
• Ensure frontend applications are scalable, maintainable, and performant

Product & Design Collaboration

• Work closely with product managers and UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional features
• Implement UI components based on design systems and product specifications
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and optimize data flow

Performance & Optimization

• Ensure applications meet modern web performance and SEO standards
• Optimize frontend performance and ensure fast loading and responsiveness
• Maintain secure and reliable user authentication flows

Engineering Standards

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to frontend development best practices
• Contribute to improving frontend architecture and reducing technical debt
• Stay updated with modern frontend technologies and frameworks

Mentorship & Team Support

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior frontend developers
• Share knowledge and best practices within the engineering team
• Support the team in solving technical challenges and improving development processes

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 4 years experience with React.js development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience building applications using React and Next.js frameworks
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and frontend performance optimization
• Experience with modern rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR)
• Experience implementing secure authentication flows (JWT, OAuth2)
• Understanding of SEO best practices and web performance standards
• Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers and design systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to present ideas to the team
• Experience mentoring or reviewing code for junior developers
