Job Description
Job Purpose:
- Responsible to facilitate the growth of the business in terms of sales and developing new business opportunities.
- Conduct industry research, identify potential business deals and strategic planning.
- Prepare and implement business development plan and providing input into strategic business growth
- Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contracts and requirements with business operations with potential partners.
- Working primarily with the Sales and Marketing department on new business
- development and business growth opportunities
- Added responsibility in providing guidance and leadership to Foil Sales team to grow sales in terms of volume and revenue, gathering market intelligence, establishing pricing policies to maximize profitability and sales volume and control of finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Plan
- Identify what are the areas of business for the development
- Competitive analysis
- Prepare short term and long-term plan for business development
- Determine the market for expansion and identify products that will provide
- increased sales
- Stay up to date with industry trend and issues
- Attend industry trade and events with networking opportunities
Expansion in new market
- Contact potential customers and exploring opportunities
Development of new product – Powder Coated Tread Plate, transformer coil, spiral duct/Cap Stock
- Conduct Market Analysis and feasibility studies
- Product costing analysis.
- Source for toller and negotiate tolling cost for products requiring tolling.
- Prepare sample for testing and evaluation at toller’s premises.
- Assessed toller’s performance for products

- Prepare sample for customer qualification
- Commercial supply
Heat Sealed Lacquer Business and Toller Development
- Conduct market Analysis and feasibility studies
- Gather customer’s requirement.
- Source for heat sealed Lacquer formulation from suppliers
- Source for toller and vendor qualification through plant and process audit at toller premises
- Establish technical specification for lacquering
- Prepare trial coil for lacquering and slitting evaluation
- Qualified toller
- Prepare sample for customer qualification
- Commercial supply
Business venture with roofing companies
- Develop strategies with venture companies.
- Examine risks and potentials of the business venture
- Identify partner needs and goals
Achieve foil sales target in terms of volume and revenue
- Gather market information, plan and execute strategies to achieve targeted sales.
Improve foil market share
- Close contact with customer and monitor market activities continuously.
- Monthly visit to stay close to the customer.
- Establish new customers and new application
Gathering market intelligence for business decision
- Constant contact with customers, colleagues, government agencies, trade association on business and market information.
- Gathering information on competitors.

Establish pricing policy to maximise profitability and sales volume
- Review pricing policies by ascertaining business situation and market movement and capitalizing on opportunities.
Control finished goods inventory
- Ensure shipment as per daily plan and materials are produced on time for shipment
