Job Description

Role Summary

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain and Trading Manager to join our team in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations and overseeing our trading activities. The successful candidate will be a leader who can effectively manage a team, navigate constant changes, and ensure all processes are compliant and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire supply chain and purchasing process, from sourcing to delivery.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  • Manage a team of subordinates with varying levels of experience, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure team success.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and managing contracts.
  • Oversee all trading and sales activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure all documentation is meticulously prepared and maintained to comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and industry regulations.
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues or crises within the supply chain, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by adapting to and implementing changes in processes and workflows.


Job Requirements

Requirement:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a purchasing, supply chain, and trading role, with a proven track record of managing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management, with the ability to lead and mentor team members of all seniority levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and management.
  • Proven ability to handle crises and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Must be open-minded and adaptable, with a proactive approach to embracing and implementing change to improve overall processes.
