Job Description

The IT Delivery team and IT Operations center Asia in Kuala Lumpur, Malasia within the Information Technology (IT) department of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG is responsible for supporting all SSU, Factories and other legal units of HDM group in region Asia as well as global IT organization.

To lead this strategically important IT unit, we are seeking an experienced leadership personality.

Key duties are:

• Area of IT responsibility – all SSU, Factories and other legal units of HDM group in region Asia and as deputy for IT Manager in Greater China

• Disciplinary responsibilities and leadership of a team of approximately up to 10 employees in collaboration with functional IT managers from global IT organization 

▪ Management of the assigned IT employees in the matrix organization of the HDM Groups in accordance with the IT mandate and applicable company guidelines

• Ensure Customer-oriented delivery of global IT services and support local business requirements in alignment with global IT standards and strategies.

• Management of locally contracted external IT providers

• Maintenance of HDM’s internal customers relationships between IT and service recipients (including demand management, escalation management)

• Manage and coordinate local and regional IT projects and support the delivery of global IT initiatives within Greater China.

• Planning, controlling and management of the IT budget for the area

• Provide stable IT services and local user support according to the global SLAs defined within area

• Ensure that local systems are maintained according to the legal, IT and security requirements

• Ensure that local IT team follows globally defined HDM internal ITIL and other IT processes

• Ensuring local IT compliance in Asia

• IT Delivery team and Operations Center responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between Asia business stakeholders and the global IT organization ensuring alignment between local business requirements and global IT strategies and services.

Job Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable field of study

• At least 3-5 years of experience in managing IT teams, within an international IT organization

• Very good experience in collaboration with stakeholders from senior management in local business and global IT

• Experience in IT services, providers and projects management

• Your personality is rounded off by team spirit, assertiveness, a sense of responsibility, flexibility, communication skills, and persuasiveness

• Good understanding of global international IT infrastructure, corporate applications and business processes

• ITIL processes knowledge

• Fluent in English and Chinese; German is a plus as well as any other language skills

• Printing industry, production areas knowledge and experience are a plus
