NPI Test Development
• Lead test strategy development and Design for Testability (DFT) execution throughout the NPI phase-gate process, including concept review, EVT, DVT, PVT, qualification, and mass production readiness, ensuring on-time deliverables, product quality, manufacturability, and operational excellence
• Collaborate closely with customers, R&D, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure successful product transfer from development to production.
• Lead test software and test script development based on product requirements and test plans.
• Drive Design for Testability (DFT) reviews with customers, R&D, and hardware design teams during all NPI phase gates to ensure adequate test coverage, fault isolation capability, and manufacturability.
• Provide DFT recommendations on hardware architecture, debug interfaces, test access points, boundary scan (JTAG), and diagnostic capabilities to optimize production testing and failure analysis.
• Review product designs and identify testability gaps early in the development cycle to reduce manufacturing risks, test costs, and qualification delays.
• Collaborate with design teams to implement DFT requirements and ensure readiness for EVT, DVT, PVT, qualification, and mass production.
• Review and approve test design documentation, including test specifications, operating instructions, validation reports, and engineering drawings.
• Manage test solution quotations, NRE activities, and test infrastructure planning for new product introductions.
• Lead test platform architecture development and standardization across multiple product families.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for complex test system debugging and issue resolution.
• Drive test coverage optimization, test cycle time reduction, and test cost improvement initiatives.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including test yield, first-pass yield (FPY), test escape rate, test utilization, and equipment efficiency.
• Lead failure analysis activities and drive corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams.
• Own test equipment capacity planning, qualification, maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Support customer audits, product qualifications, and technical reviews.
• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to improve testing efficiency and data visibility.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Test Development Engineers/Test Engineer to build a high-performing team.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure achievement of product launch milestones and quality objectives.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in hardware test development, preferably in enterprise switches/servers, storage, networking, or telecommunications products.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams and cross-functional projects.
• Proven experience leading NPI programs and R&D-to-manufacturing transfers.
• Strong knowledge of server, switches, storage, networking, and switch hardware architecture, including CPU, memory, PCIe, storage interfaces, and networking technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Design for Testability (DFT) principles, boundary scan (JTAG), diagnostic architecture, fault coverage analysis, and manufacturing test methodologies.
• Experience conducting DFT reviews for server, storage, networking, or telecommunications products during NPI development.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems, test platform development, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, Tcl/Tk, Java, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing test methodologies, test coverage analysis, and product qualification processes.
• Experience with test automation, data analytics, database systems, and dashboard development.
• Familiarity with quality and industry standards such as ISO, IPC, and IEEE requirements.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, DOE, SPC, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
