Job Description

Role Overview:

The Training Manager is responsible for developing and executing training strategies that strengthen product knowledge, sales effectiveness, and commercial capability across sales and dealer network in Malaysia. This role ensures all frontline and commercial sales teams are well-equipped to represent the brand, communicate product value, and drive business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual commercial sales and product training plans aligned with business objectives, product roadmap, and sales strategy.
  • Design and deliver product, sales, and commercial training covering vehicle features, positioning, competitive comparison, and value-based selling.
  • Support new model launches through structured training programs, readiness assessments, and certification.
  • Enable sales and dealer networks with consistent training standards, onboarding programs, and continuous capability development.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, playbooks, and digital learning content to ensure accurate and consistent product messaging.
  • Deliver training through classroom, virtual, and digital platforms, ensuring high engagement and learning effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Planning, Marketing, and Dealer Operations to ensure training relevance and alignment.
  • Monitor training participation, competency levels, and effectiveness, and provide regular performance reports and insights.
  • Continuously enhance training approaches by benchmarking industry best practices and introducing innovative learning methods.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Training & Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training, sales enablement, or commercial capability development.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, customer engagement, and product positioning.
  • Experience in automotive, FMCG, consumer electronics, or other product-driven industries is an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and influence sales teams and dealer personnel.
