Job Description

As a Social Media Content Writer at Hive Marketing Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for creating engaging and creative content across various social media platforms. This role involves developing content strategies, writing compelling copy, and staying updated with the latest social media trends to effectively communicate brand message and engage with our target audience.

1. Develop, write, and edit content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram & TikTok.
2. Create and manage a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and engagement across all platforms.
3. Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with overall marketing campaigns and strategies.
4. Monitor and respond to audience engagement, including comments and messages, in a timely and professional manner when necessary.
5. Analyze social media metrics to evaluate content performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
6. Ensure all content adheres to page guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and tone.
7. Stay updated on the latest social media tools, trends, and best practices to optimize content creation and distribution.
8. Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other team members to produce multimedia content.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in writing for social media, with a strong portfolio of past work.
3. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
4. Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability and willingness to write and localise content primarily in Malay. 
5. Experience in community management, including monitoring comments, responding to messages, and engaging with online audiences in a timely and professional manner (mostly Malay-based communities). 
6. Familiarity with social media platforms and their specific content requirements.
7. Strong understanding of social media metrics and how to interpret data to inform content strategy.
8. Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Fanpage Karma, Brandmention ) is a plus.
