About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Account Executive to become a part of our accounting team in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. This full-time position presents a fantastic opportunity to enhance the financial operations and client services of a vibrant bookkeeping and small accounting practice. Your responsibilities will include managing client accounts, maintaining precise financial records, and delivering extensive accounting support to small and medium-sized enterprises. Your role will be vital in cultivating strong client relationships and contributing to the overall success of our firm.


Job Requirements

  • Manage FULL SET ACCOUNT
    Manage and maintain accurate financial records for assigned client accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements
  • Prepare and review general ledger accounts, bank reconciliations, and trial balances
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment management
  • Communicate regularly with clients to gather financial information, clarify discrepancies, and provide updates on account status
  • Support the audit and tax preparation processes by organising and compiling necessary documentation
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and errors in a timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial information
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounting team

    What we're looking for
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with popular accounting packages is advantageous
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors accurately
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification such as an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification, diploma in accounting, or equivalent professional certification is preferred
  • Reliability, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards in all accounting matters
